I received a size small which is a bit big for a 4 year old. It will be perfect when he is 5 years old! The build quality is excellent. The material is very comfortable. Here in the North East, where it rains and snows a lot, a waterproof case is ideal. Place the sink under the faucet to check and the water will flow immediately. Definitely a must. So practical for traveling in rainy weather! The 3-in-1 design is versatile - take one jacket for all weather conditions: cool, windy, cold and wet. The designers carefully thought out the design of this jacket. For example there are overlapping materials covering the zippers, so as not to irritate the chin when the zipper is fully closed. Zippers have a small tab (fabric) to make them easier to grab with gloves. No tiny zip pads that usually get stuck in zips, causing the zip to get stuck (uncomfortable in freezing weather). Zippered pockets so you don't lose things in the snow that can't be found until the snow melts. However, some improvements could be made to the jacket (which is why it didn't get 5 stars): 1. Velcro on sleeves instead of elastic cuffs - great for cold weather2. Elastic band to tighten the bottom of the jacket - also ideal for cold weather3. Reflective material (front and back) is an important safety feature when walking down the street. Zippered pockets so you don't lose things in the snow that can't be found until the snow melts.
