This is one of the coolest knives I own. It looks like a sword from anime cartoons. Its sharpness draws attention every time I pull it out. So I use it to cut anything and everything when we have guests. It's just great. The knife came in a very nice black box. But since I use it so much, I end up sticking it in my knife block. It was such a shame to throw away a beautiful box. Straight out of the box, the knife feels pretty sharp. I could cut tomatoes without pulling. But it's thicker than a pair of knives, so it's difficult to slice tomatoes thinly. Overall, this is a good addition to my kitchen. This is the beginning of a conversation.
