I am really impressed with this reptile terrarium scoop. I never thought I would use something for reptiles as cat litter, but sometimes you have to improvise and this was one of the few scoops I could find with holes small enough to catch all those tiny clumps of cat litter that jumped in fall to the ground. through the broad bars of my usual toilet scoop. When I first started feeding a pregnant stray dog who hated my cats' natural pine litter, I had to go back to clumping clay litter, but I hated how much was left after I removed them, so I had to do some research to find one Solution. This scoop is not designed to remove all large clumps - it would take too long. Instead, you should scoop out large clumps as usual, then return with that shovel to weed out the remaining debris. I was amazed at how much it caught when I first used it and I used it at least once a day in addition to regular digging to keep the bedding clean and tidy which is important to me in normal conditions but especially when a pregnant cat accidentally giving birth in a litter box (I've seen this before). I'm not sure how long I'll be sticking with clumpy filler once I've found my forever foster family and this scoop isn't very helpful with Feline Pine, but I'm definitely keeping it to myself and I'm so glad I did I took the risk of buying it.
