Review on Chemical Guys ACC_118 Gallon Size Hand by Derrick Villarreal

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works great, 1 ounce meter per pump but can be a bit messy with thin products.

It's nice that it dispenses 1 ounce of product per pump, it makes soaps easier to use and those that have a fairly specific dilution ratio. Chemical Guys products typically contain 1-2 ounces of soap for every 4-5 gallons of water. Obviously no one is going to carefully measure their dilution ratios so they can wash their car. 1 or 2 pumps depending on how froggy I feel that day. Citrus Wash & Gloss or Mr. Rosa, or/or - it doesn't matter. My only complaint about these pumps is that the product spills out when you invert the gallon jug. When you're done pumping, some more will leak out as well. The way to deal with this is to tilt the container to drain the water from the top of the pump and voila, no more dripping. In any case, you'd better finish with a rag and probably not drip it on expensive items. Like your buffering/buffing machine. Unfortunately, trying to find gallon pumps anywhere is like finding a needle in a haystack and your options are limited. A little variety and that might be the only worthwhile pump on Revain. They're also quite expensive at over $8 each. But hey - would you rather fight with a funnel and a heavy pitcher when you need some kind of chemical? So the cool thing is that they screw into place. Unfortunately, screwing on and locking the pump is the same as hitting the pump once. So make sure you have that rag ready. but that's a good thing, too, because my garage shelf is *SIMPLY* too short for Chemical Guys gallon containers and that extra-long pump. Such is life, you just have to struggle to keep them in place and lose that 0.5 ounce of product every time.
