I had a scale that I used for about six years that eventually died. I ordered these and am very happy with them. It has a wider platform than my old one and displays ounces as decimals, which is what I needed for many of my bread recipes. In addition to g and ml, pounds and ounces or simply ounces are also displayed. I was happy to find all of this at a reasonable price. I keep my apartment; I've noticed that some people tip their scales to the side, so I can't speak to that aspect of the grip. It showed 0.0 for everything, but the battery (and a bunch of new ones) isn't the problem. I felt this was an issue with the product and contacted MIRA Brands via a Google search on their website for help with a repair or replacement. I submitted a contact form regarding a defect in my scale and just a few hours later received a response from them. They agreed it was a problem with this scale and immediately offered to replace it for free. They sent it to me the next day and I received it in less than a week. I found their customer service to be amazing and couldn't believe the great and quick responses I received from them. I've had the new one for a few months, no problems so far.
