This is an excellent seal. My brother works as a mechanic and wasn't a fan of these liquid sealants, but he changed his mind based on the short but fairly long setup time and the feeling of actually having it installed. I used a bead of this for the oil pan, a small foil for the oil pump gasket and 8 dots on the valve cover for my 3SFE engine. The oil pan was left installed overnight, the valve cover was dirty for several hours and there were NO leaks or problems. Plus, it used less than half the pipe, so my brother now has enough to build an oil pan for his own car. Once dry it's quite malleable and I could definitely see it being used for other purposes.
