This thermometer was chosen to replace another digital thermometer that died after being exposed to water. To this day, this thermometer is still alive and doing its job perfectly, helping me to overcook (or undercook!) meat, fish, and poultry. It is easy to use, from temperature measurement to recalibration. I can keep it on the fridge so it's always handy thanks to the magnetic backing. I haven't opened a bottle with it yet, but there is an opener if I need it. I'm glad to own this handy thermometer.
