When I first saw this Circulon set I was amazed that each piece had a grill. My daughter reacted the same way. She's a chef who returned to Hawaii to take a job at a new restaurant with a very experienced chef and then pretty much stayed with us when we went into quarantine. She helped me to update/improve my kitchen and thanks to her experience in professional kitchens I organize everything with her help. After cooking on it, she was very impressed that due to the pattern, it didn't stick like she thought it did, not realizing it was meant to protect the non-stick coating. In fact, almost nothing was sticking to the pan, and she said what was there she could brush off with a silicone spatula. (Neither of us used the included steel spatula to demonstrate what we can do). I have accumulated many different dishes over the years. Most is very good. I have my mom's Chantal that she sent me when she moved in, some Calphalon that a friend gave me, a KitchenAid nonstick set that my husband actually used on metal cookware and wasn't designed for, and much more. When my daughter looked at it she said if she were going to buy she would choose this or Calfalon. (She really likes a pot for chili). As a result, Circulon performed very well when we used it. Both my daughter and I love the design, especially the shape of the pans and handles (which don't get hot). She thought the handles on the glass lids were nice, ergonomic and prevented you from touching the hot pot because they gave more clearance. The pans can be used on electric, gas and induction stoves and are safe up to 500 degrees. They can also be washed in the dishwasher, but Calphalon says hand washing is best. The only problem I have with them is that they can't be used in the oven (but I only use one or two myself). The look is unconventional, but it's a system that works. This is attractive non-stick cookware that will last for many years and Circulon offers a lifetime guarantee. It should also be exceptional for those who use sous vide and then pan fry.
