I purchased these to replace an old pair of department store slippers. I couldn't stand how clammy they made my feet and I decided on the RockDove pair as they were consistently rated highly for breathability on multiple review websites.Granted, these won't breath like linen but they are significantly more breathable than my previous pair, the open heel helps open up more of my feet to ventilation. The memory foam is very springy right out of the box, and after a few weeks of wearing they tamp down. Very comfortable. The outsoles keeps my feet dry on the walk across the damp parking lot to the apartment dumpster or immediately after I've mopped the floor. The uppers will dry out quickly but are in no way water resistant. For reference, I'm between a US 9.5 and US 10, regular width in most sneakers. I ordered a large size according to the sizing guide but I felt my toes come up against the very front of the slippers. While this has lessened now that the memory foam has had some time to conform to my feet, my toes still easily bump the front. I'm not hiking or walking any significant distance in these so that's a minor issue. If that's a deal-breaker for you, I suggest you go one size above your usual.
