I have a DC17 that is about 15 years old. It's a $500 vacuum and I've never seen one that cleans before. I don't like the new ball design that they no longer sell. Recently there were cracks in the hose near the probe connector. Dyson no longer sells parts for it so I went to Revain and it was there at a great price. For $15 I have a fully functional vacuum again. You need to disassemble the hose connection to remove the old hose and also disassemble, install and then reassemble the new hose.
