Make sure you know your dilution factors!

Overall the product is excellent. When mixed with water it gives a blue colour: like Vindex. However, it doesn't have a strong smell, which is good! But it's important! This is the same type of quat sanitizer used in hospitality and healthcare. I have the pleasure of working both as a barista and as a lab technician. In the kitchen, the concentration is around 200-400ppm (1-2 tablets per gallon), enough to kill bacteria that cause foodborne illness within a minute. contact time. It's called SANITIZING: It reduces bacteria and viruses, but DOESN'T KILL ALL. The contact time is usually around one minute for disinfection with this type of product. In the laboratory we work with more sensitive liquids such as blood and bacteria samples, so disinfection is a must. Disinfection kills ALL bacteria and viruses but requires a longer exposure time of up to 10 minutes. We choose a quat solution (similar to the active ingredient in this one, only pre-mixed) with a much higher ppm level, typically 1000-2500ppm! At home I calculated and worked out that you can use 1-2 of these tablets in 16 ounces of water for between 1600 and 3200 ppm. My route is to simply mix 1.5 tablets of the product in 16 ounces of warm water. Shake vigorously to dissolve. Spray on the surface and leave for a maximum of 10 minutes (minimum 3 minutes) and wipe off with a clean, damp cloth. Make sure you don't spray it on areas with finished or open food, such as. B. a fruit basket or a cake stand. Agitate before spraying. All in all, this product is amazing!
