Review on 💧 Fibaro FGFS-101 ZW5 Flood Sensor: Z-Wave Plus Water Leak Detector by Chris Barreto

I really like it. It's a lot nicer than I thought. The three probes are spring-loaded so they touch the ground (and are gold-plated). The sensor has an LED backlight and a sound signal. It's not loud, but if you notice it in the next room it is. There are pins for an optional water sensor (optional, not included - use cable) and DC power (optional, not included). When you connect it to a DC power source, the device becomes a standard zwave repeater. I haven't tried it, so I can't say anything about it. You can fine tune many sensor parameters - be sure to download the PDF manual as the included printed manual only covers the basics. My device connected to Hubitat with no issues. I can't say anything about the battery life yet. Since it's battery operated, remember that programming via a hub will buffer changes until you wake up. (Of course it will send immediately when it detects water)
