These are the only filters that fit our oven. We have a return line in the hallway. My old oven had a slot for pre-cut filters. The new one doesn't. They are also recommended by our allergist. We had already used them before she told us to use them. In fact, they only exist in two places in my area. You guessed it - Walmart and Lowes. I hate going to Walmart for one thing in particular. I will never visit Lowes again. I keep checking Revain to see if they have them for the same price. Finally - do it! So the filters come in a fancy box where you cut open the box at the front so you can easily get the filter out! Well! You can cut these filters with regular scissors. I've found that creating a filter template is the best way to clip a filter. That's always appropriate. I cut it out of cardboard and store it. If the filter needs to be replaced, I simply cut out a new one based on the template. Then you don't have to get up and go down the stairs. We just pass it to the person on the stairs and it's safer and easier. I know it says they can be washed and reused. I've never done that and never will. We change them every 3-4 months. Sometimes it's just a few dust particles. Sometimes it's terribly dusty. My heating and cooling friend says to change it every four months no matter what. We've been doing this since we've lived here. Now I have permanent filters. So easy!
