True, my installation is not typical. I already have a router and another wireless access point, one is G and the other is N. So I had to change the settings. I had to disable DHCP before getting started and I made some other changes as well. The problem is that the installer is only for the simplest form of installation, directly on the modem and without other routers on the network. I believe it's called Cisco Connect, that's what the manual is about. But I never got to the point where my non-standard setup allowed Cisco Connect to install, let alone work or solve any of my problems. In the end, I was able to set it up properly by just poking around in the installer and encountering an issue that seemed to resolve itself after a couple of hours. With a different custom installation guide, I might not have taken so many frustrating wrong turns. The Cisco Connect approach probably works well for many, but not for those who stray from the straight and narrow. In any case, everything is fine now and the N-AP seems to be doing its job well.
