Review on πŸ”₯ Teyleten Robot IR Flame Sensor Module: Temperature Detecting for Arduino - 5pcs Detector Sensor Included by Tyler Kota

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It works out. As! in security and surveillance

I tried to use it as a pilot flame detector for a water heater. The first problem is that (as of April 22, 2021) there is no product data sheet that can be used as a guide when setting up the sensor. The second problem is that to detect a natural gas igniter it must be within 19 mm (0.75 in) of the flame, where it is too hot to remain intact, and can destroy it in seconds with the burner on to catch from propane, butane and large natural gas flames. Even with incandescent and full-spectrum lamps, this is not a problem. If you want to use it to detect full flames or even propane warning lights then it most likely will work. Natural gas warning lights simply don't emit enough light to disable this sensor.

Pros
  • with a flame sensor to keep a certain distance, so as not to damage the temperature sensor, the flame lighter test distance 80cm, for a larger flame the further the test distance
Cons
  • thin
