3 months failed. Wouldn't turn off.

I have a $2,000 copper hood with a vent/light insert. The light switch (button) for the hood was integrated with 3 fan buttons and the only way out from the manufacturer was to buy a new full insert for A LOT of money. I bypassed the light button with this $8 toggle switch. Has worked flawlessly for 3 months. Now it can't be turned off.
