Value for money speakers

First I would give 5 stars but my custom box didn't have a hole template. With a little edge it's hard to guess/measure where to cut the hole, but I did. Otherwise great speakers. Place 1 side by side in my Rhino under the driver's seat and connect it to a 4 channel 1000 watt PYLE PLMRA420 also bought from Amazon (I disconnected my door speakers from the other 2 channels). Heavy for an 8" 400W, although I know Pyle tends to overpower their products (plus, due to lack of space under the Rhino seat, my box was only 0.6 cubic feet, which is below the recommended 7 - 1.0 cubic feet for 8 inch subwoofer). But for me it's strong enough. Seems to be holding up quite well on the "nautical" part but it's only been 2 weeks and 1 pressure wash but it's still working. You can't beat this speaker for the money. And if it breaks, get a new one! $20 isn't bad for an offshore sub if it lasts a year.

Pros
  • INSTALLATION/LOCATION: The marine subwoofer can be mounted under or in front of the box or helm, behind the helm seat, or in a box or cooler. The subwoofer has an overall diameter of 10.6 inches and an installation depth of 4.60 inches
Cons
  • The list will be long.
