I ordered these for my 9 month old teething baby. They came with a VERY strong smell and I'm not a person who usually cares about smells. I cooked them for several minutes. And you can see in my photo that some of them came off because the water was very dark. I let them dry for a day and attached them to my daughter's lovers where the pacifier is as she will not take the pacifier. I also tied a few pieces to the muslin squares. She seems to like them. The woman who said they broke when used to make slings. You should only use METAL for slings with seamless rings. UPDATE: My baby just turned 1 year old. Half of these rings broke. We lost most of them just because my kid threw them on our tiled floor.
