They appear to be well made, the paint is not peeling and can be worn all day without that weird discomfort. I've found that some of them rest on the hair rather than the teeth resting on the hair, but leaning forward or bending over when inserting the elastic into the hair solves this problem. The prongs then grip the hair for a cool effect and the headband does not slip.
