Blocks out cold and light. Perfect size with overlap in center which keeps out the light from the hideous orange gas streetlight outside my bedroom window. It's like a 1000 suns trying to wreck my sleep.it's like being in a Ray Bradbury story. Have tried several other curtains over the last 12 years and finally made some myself because I was sick of buying supposed light blocking fabric but none really blocked out light-they lied! And my attempts were noble but pitiful and did absolutely nothing to block out the heat or cold. My only regret is not finding these sooner. They really do what they say. Yes, they are wrinkled and look sort of rubbery, but at this point I do.not.care. Oh, and they slide across the rod with no problems, unlike the others I have had. Seem well made. So far so good!
