So far I have bought two of these TVs, one for a friend and one for my parents who both bought 55 inch TVs that no longer fit on their existing TV stands as the TV manufacturers have gotten cheap. flimsy little legs attached to the ends of the tv, not a good solid center mast like in the old days. Of course, expensive TVs still use a center pole, but why spend the extra $$. So a swivel TV stand didn't have to replace a perfect entertainment center OR spend an extra $$$ on a TV just to get a more expensive center mask. Plenty of extra screws are included to mount multiple different TVs. Brackets, but I liked the flexibility of this setup, which allows for different heights AND allows the mounting brackets to be screwed into the TV first (face down on a flat surface) and then "hang" and snap into place on the base. Thoughtful design and high quality mirror glass finish on the base.
