Review on Grommet Eyelet Plier Set by Hannah Curi

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I wanted it to work. I was disappointed.

I I have read some reviews and bought this one knowing it doesn't always work well. I started with pretty low expectations but it didn't really bother me because I'm just learning how to sew. Even so, I was still disappointed. There were no instructions in my package so I just followed the instructions in the reviews. Luckily I had the foresight to use the leftover fabric for practice rather than ruining my project. The overall quality of the grommets themselves is poor, and the quality of the tool is slightly lower. I've tried about 10 of each type, silver and bronze just to make sure it wasn't a one off issue. By the time I was at #20, I had completely bent the handle of my instrument. I sewed it in a layer of plain cotton pre-cut for the grommets so I know it's not a problem. Don't waste your money thinking that for such a cheap price it will be good enough. It is not worth.

Pros
  • Convenient and practical: one-piece steel pliers, chrome-plated finish, PVC plastic-impregnated handle, 6.6-inch metal pliers with jaws on the mandrel, can be put on immediately after squeezing the ear, simple and convenient
Cons
  • Not sure

Worked perfectly and provided an ample supply of grommets.
