Review on πŸ“ˆ Efficiently Monitor Propane Tank Levels with AP Products 024-1001 Gas Level Indicator by Tommy Abreu

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing with a few problems. Could be perfect with a few small tweaks. UPDATE: Great! see my reviews.

I want to love - I really love. I've had it for about 6 months now and it works really well once you get it to work. Here are my issues with it: The green rubber feet need to be stiffer. In my caravan I have to clamp the bottle. With very little pressure, the legs will snap completely, breaking the device and making it stop reading. PRO TIP: Buy several ceiling fan balancing kits. They have these really hard plastic clips that work PERFECTLY. You'll have to cut them to fit the bottle and squeeze them to keep them in place, but they work better than the green rubber feet that come with the kit. Westinghouse Lighting Fan Blade Balancing Kit 77015 - I've already overhauled the battery, doesn't need to poll every second - that's too much and wears out the battery too quickly! - one of the magnets came off the block, I'll try to stick it back - once the battery dies it stops reading - says my full tanks are empty. Battery at 10%. This or my device is out of order. EDIT: 2/16/2017 - I contacted AP Products and filed a warranty claim for a magnet output and sensor that was no longer reading properly. Just take a look. I will update my review when I know more. I bought my device on July 19, 2016, that's exactly 7 months ago. EDIT: 7/26/2017 - Sorry for the delay in updating my review. As for the magnet issue – it was an incorrect reading issue. Tried to paste it again but it's still unreadable. I contacted AP Products and couldn't believe the customer service I received - amazing! They sent me a new sensor with no problems. Excellent product support. I've upgraded my rating from 3 to 5 stars - they work and I love their simplicity. Add in incredible customer support and you have a solid product. AP Products contacted me out of the blue after I asked them about the best solution for the green rubber feet and said they had new aluminum feet that they wanted to send me to test. Outside. They work fantastic! If you have green legs and need to secure the bottle (e.g. on an RV shelf) you will need aluminum legs.
