Really very handy for my motorhome

I have been driving a motorhome since 2015 but this year I went on a serious winter hike for the first time. I had absolutely nothing to measure my propane tanks and that lack of planning bit my ass with teenage lows in nice weather. I ran out, it was night and no one was open and I ended up freezing the fresh tank outlet resulting in no water coming. I have heaters inside so I was fine but obviously I had to do something else. I ended up swapping the propane for 2 of 3 20lb tanks (not a goodโ€ฆ

UPDATED from 4 stars to 1! FALSE TESTIMONY!

This review has been upgraded to 1 from 4 stars. Initially I found this worked most of the time and any inconsistencies were readings that were temporarily wrong but updated to a reasonably accurate level. time (e.g. within 20 minutes). We had just returned from a hike and I almost veered off trail to fill up the tank which I thought was full but the gauge showed it was almost empty. Before I went to the store, I took the tank out of my RV and weighed it - and sure enough, it was full. Theโ€ฆ

Good product especially for the price although a little inaccurate

Overall I was happy with this Bluetooth propane tank meter. It was easy to set up and use, and the phone app was intuitive and easy to understand. I installed it on a 300L gas tank on the roof (yes, on the roof - that's how they do it abroad where I live :-). So it was much more convenient to check the digital gauge than to climb onto the roof to check the analog gauge on the tank itself. The main complaint I have is that the tank reader isn't very accurate but gives a rough idea. As mentioned,

Works very well on the details

I have used one of these products on a Coleman tent trainer and one on an island grill and recently bought a third for a second tank to add to my trailer. All tanks weigh 20 pounds. The sensors were installed at the end of October. One thing I didn't see in the manual (but was confirmed by the manufacturer) is that you can connect each device to more than one phone or tablet. So I paired ours with my iPhone and iPad and my wife's iPhone so we can get readings no matter what phone or tablet weโ€ฆ

  • Nothing here

I want to love - I really love. I've had it for about 6 months now and it works really well once you get it to work. Here are my issues with it: The green rubber feet need to be stiffer. In my caravan I have to clamp the bottle. With very little pressure, the legs will snap completely, breaking the device and making it stop reading. PRO TIP: Buy several ceiling fan balancing kits. They have these really hard plastic clips that work PERFECTLY. You'll have to cut them to fit the bottle andโ€ฆ
