Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Home Office Document Scanner: Canon imageFormula DR-C225 for Enhanced Performance in Scanning by Chris Edgerton

Great scanner

Great hardware. I've scanned folded and crumpled letter and legal documents, as well as various paper sizes and cards like driver's licenses and business cards. Everything scans well and quickly with little jam. The software is good. I already had Paperport 14 so I skipped it. Canon's Capture on Touch is pretty good once you get the hang of it and set up the right profiles. You can set it up to create a separate PDF for each page, or all pages in a single PDF, color, black and white, grayscale, or automatically. I've found that using a black and white copy on a crumpled copy on pink paper removes color and wrinkles. Very happy with the scanner and the software. Problem with drivers. I installed it on Windows 7. When I upgraded to Windows 10, the computer couldn't find the scanner. I sent an email to the support and a few hours later (on a Sunday!) I got the answer that there is no driver for Win10 yet; As a current product, he will likely receive it, but there are no dates yet. So kudos for the quick response, cheers to the Bronx for your content. I solved the driver problem with a NextBook with Windows 8.1. The driver and Capture on Touch work fine and I have set up profiles to save to a folder on OneDrive. Then I go to Win10 computer and move the file to other folders on that computer. It works but I'm looking forward to the Win10 driver. Another reviewer points out that Canon plans to release the driver in 2-3 weeks. When the driver for Win10 is released and I think it works I will increase my rating to 5 stars. I'm considering deducting a star for what seems to be a common delay in driver development for new operating systems that other manufacturers don't seem to experience. A Google search revealed a similar driver delivery delay at the Windows 8 release. UPDATE 8/29/15: Windows 10 drivers and software are missing. I haven't tried them because I'm back to Windows 7. There have been too many articles about Windows 10 calling home with all sorts of information for me to feel comfortable with. That's why I gave it 5 stars because it's a great scanner.
