It worked the same as my existing locks

I have one key locks on the front and back doors. 15 years. The back door lock was loose and I wanted a cam lock too. My initial plan was to remove the lock cylinder from the old lock and fit it into the new kwikset lock. However, it turned out that it is difficult to find a key set that does not contain a "smart key". After learning how the smart key works, I decided to give it a try. The lock easily penetrated the same hole. Nice and tight. It took about two minutes (including reading the instructions) and I had a new lock that accepted the old key from my other locks.
