I have many pets and their food attracts flies and of course the trash can. And apples, bananas, and other commonly overlooked fruits attract fruit flies. No matter how clean your home is, they easily enter the airflow when you open the door. If you don't like harsh bug sprays and sticky fly strips, then a good bug repellent is a game changer. I have several of these and they live up to their name. However, I had less success with the very small fruit flies that swarm out of the trash can when you throw something in it. Then the fly spray can is most valuable. Some of the smallest flies are killed, others seem to fly through the power grid unharmed. I don't have many mosquitos so I don't see them in the dead fly bowl. I recommend using an insect trap. But if you need it for the bedroom, leave it on all day and then turn it off at night. You will sleep better. The light is too bright and the noise may wake you up.
