Review on 240GB External SSD Netac Z7S USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C Black/Silver by Jnis Hermanis ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It is impossible to use, a bad product.

Doesn't get hot, doesn't get dusty. She reacted very badly to the removal of the cord and the return back (of course, everything was done according to the rules). The flash drive does not compete in any way with other options: neither in price (in a 1 TB hard drive it is 30% more expensive than Samsung's), nor in speed (recording is 4 times slower than Samsung's and 5 times slower than Sandisk's), nor in hardware reliability , nor by constructive expectations of the period of operation after the end of the guaranteed number of cycles.

Pros
  • price, appearance
Cons
  • the speed of work is impressive: for writing large files - 70 MB / s, for reading them - 340 MB / s. In the same conditions, the SanDisk Extrim 500 SSD bought 6 years ago also works at 240 GB daily, regularly transferring from one PC to another up to 140 GB at a speed of 340 for writing and 380 for reading. That is, moreover, a complete lie in the product passport, but the main thing is that the 6-year development period did not improve the parameters. There is no information about the type of cell (and, accordingly, the number of warranty cycles). It is possible that modern unfortunate manufacturers at the end of guaranteed cycles simply again gave a software setting to demolish the microprogram - after which the possibility of recording was completely stopped. I've experienced this kind of wickedness for real.
