This was a replacement set because my husband used my ½ cup joint gauge and broke the handle. I would have been mad at him but I also managed to snap off the flour measure handle which prompted me to buy a set which he broke. In just 5 years I had 3 sets. As long as you don't use them for scooping and just hold the handle, you're fine. I like bright colors so I will keep buying. Random colors bother me. I want to choose color and size. Otherwise I'm satisfied. PS Now my husband understands that kitchen utensils cannot be used as tools. ;)
