You can replace the ribbon hanger
I bought this for the outside and the silk ribbon hanger doesn't hold up to the weather. I replaced it with coated picture wire. Also, the photo is a bit misleading when it comes to "lid" or "roof." It's just a basket with a lid attached to the side as a roof. In the photo the roof looks bigger than it really is. Overall a good design and the birds love it.
