I use it for crimping copper terminals onto 4g and 1/0g wire. Once you get the hang of it, they will work quite well. Good enough for me to keep using, just a little difficult to figure out the right size. With them I crimp once and then rotate the material 90* to make another crimp. I then use a couple of locks on the crimp to push all of the copper into the shape before shrinking. For the price I can't really complain, this works better than my Klien brand pliers.
