Review on Dremel 8 Inch Carbide Grout Removal by Fernando Beck

I'm removing old grout from a stone tiled shower floor. Not because it's crumbling, but because I'm tired of mold growing there. Let's face it, cement based grout is porous, even with sealant, so I replaced the old grout with epoxy. Laticrete, purchased here at Revain.com, is 100% waterproof and available in a variety of colors. (Tip: Order a color chart from Laticrete, you cannot trust the colors displayed on the screen of an electronic device). Your grout line is a little thicker than 1/8 inch, you still have the old grout on the inside walls of the tile. This is where the Dremel joint bit shines. Not that it's bad for all of your grout removal, I'm just trying to speed up the process for my project. Your "pilot" lines are already there, left by the tool's oscillating blade, so when you insert this Dremel attachment, it quickly knocks grout off the side walls. It's also great for grout lines that meet a wall where the tool's oscillating blade won't fit. (The attached picture shows the top tile sanded with this Dremel attachment; note that no grout is left on the side walls of the tile. Unlike the tile directly below).
