The old key's plastic didn't fit as tightly as I wanted, so cutting the key onto the new one was perfect! The Dodge dealer tried to scare me with the fact that he had a little over a 60% chance of success and would charge me $60 either way if he was successful or not. I paid them and it worked. Fall for dealer fear tactics. Even if it didn't work, I was able to negotiate $30 upfront if I brought new keys.
