Yale Customer Support says the lock mechanism is prone to binding/jamming

I installed this lock in January and initially had little to no problems. This week the lock got stuck after leaving the house and would not open on return. When you enter my code, the numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 will flash (forming a kind of "X" shape on the keyboard). Searching support doesn't provide any information and I couldn't find any documentation on this error code. I've seen a lone review website mentioning the exact same issue, but that's about it. I have found that the ONLY solution is to manually turn the lock from the inside a few times to free the stuck mechanism. problem over the weekend, you might be unlucky), they casually mentioned that this model has more sticking problems than most. As the lock is now working properly they will not provide any assistance or replacement. .or I really seem to care. Because I live in a townhouse with only a front door (with this lock) and a sliding door in the back, I was locked out of my house for several hours late at night and ended up having to break in. The locksmith was useless as his only option was to destroy the lock with a drill. I mention this as a warning to others with a similar setup - if you are given this lock without a key, make sure you have backup access to your home as this model is unreliable.
