The unit itself is good, it comes with a case and extra batteries. It's well made and doesn't look cheap. The only problem I have is with the digital sensor. If you spread the caliper too quickly, it will lose accuracy. Resetting and starting is easy, but the numeric numbers may not match those displayed on the instrument. All this to say that it is not very expensive and if you are careful it will give you a good read. There's a thumbscrew to lock it in, so it works great when comparing distances. For the price, this device is hard to beat.
