My lab tore their ACL 4 years ago, I was trying to make inflated comfort cones that look like airplane cushions. They were both too hot and it was ok to keep them from reaching her leg so I had to stitch 2 together. Not perfect. When she tore up the second one, I decided okay. Soft light cone. It really worked like a charm, it was very easy to put your head on and just thread the collar through to hold it up. Summer, she's hot, I've never had panting for lack of air. She slept with him at night and never reached her hind leg. I will say that due to its pleasurable ability to mold when the dog lays down, if you have a long-nosed pup that loves to chew, they can easily enjoy chewing on this stuff out of boredom. My labrador has a long nose but is not a chew dog and has given up trying to run away from him after initially scratching and scratching.
