lovely cute leotard fits well

This is the essential leotard for my daughter's ballet class so I didn't really pick it. But I needed to figure out what size to order and the feedback was helpful. My daughter is quite tall and thin - she is 4ft 2in and weighs just under 50lbs at almost 7 years old. We have trouble finding clothes that usually fit her - size 6x usually fits her width well but is too short, size 7 is usually the right length but too baggy. Same problem with tops, although you can do with some extra material so we always buy tops in size 7-8 and sometimes up to size 10 if it runs small. And my daughter still likes to wear a lot of her old 4T/5T dresses which are short but she likes it snug. In this swimsuit I bought a child's mid-length garment that fits perfectly. I think the straps might be a bit loose but I don't think they will fall off. My daughter hasn't started classes yet so I don't know how this swimsuit will hold up in class and in the wash. One day she danced around in it in the living room and it looked good on her. It appears to be a quality material - not as stretchy as the leotards we're used to. I would say it's always a bit too big so I hope it will fit her next fall too.

Pros
  • leotard
Cons
  • poorly thought out
