Review on D-Link DWA-162 Wi-Fi Network Adapter | Wireless Dual Band, 900 Mbps USB by Black Croom

My home office is like the Wi-Fi Bermuda Triangle. It's literally on the opposite side of the wall from the router, but the first three adapters I bought either had a weak signal, dropped the signal intermittently, or had no signal at all. I saw this wireless adapter at Revain and the reviews suggested it might work for me. When I first opened the box, I was amazed at how small this Wi-Fi adapter is! I almost didn't buy it because it looked about the size of a soda can. It's about the size of two folded stacks. Following the instructions that came with it, I couldn't get the drivers to boot from the hard drive. After getting very annoyed and thinking I had to return the wireless adapter; I decided to forget the floppy and grab the drivers from the D-Link site. .no go, they didn't have this adapter listed. So I decided to just plug it into my computer and see what happens. Boom! The computer saw it immediately and is working perfectly. I had to deduct a star for walking around with instructions. They force you to remove all previous wireless adapters and jump through hoops before plugging them into USB. I still recommend it as it really gets a great signal.
