My 25th dog is very itchy so any collar with scratches drives him crazy. However, this collar has a velvety soft material against her skin and she rarely scratches her neck. Very good quality, don't worry about her chewing or breaking it...never. My dog is large small or small medium so I ordered medium but small would probably suit her better. If I go for a smaller collar, it's this one! Excellent purchase!
