Review on Wright Tool 3440 Compact Application by Lucas Salgado

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Superb compact 3/8 " ratchet!

To be perfectly clear this is a very small 3/8" ratchet, not a 1/4" drive model. It is in the Essentially a 3/8 drive ". Head assembly in a 1/4" drive housing designed to access places where you may need a larger drive but traditional 3/8" ratchets will not fit. As mentioned, it is only intended for relatively low torque applications for obvious reasons. This ratchet is deceptively small, about the size of a dessert fork. In fact, the pen is about the size of most people's little finger. The ratchet is quite heavy for its size, and you can tell it's made of good steel and not imported junk. The ratcheting function is performed by only one pawl, but it's still fairly positive and the angle of rotation is low enough that the ratchet can be used in tight spaces, under the dash and other places where you don't have wiggle room to catch the next works as intended. Tooth. Like all Wright ratchets I've used, this one is very well made. The chrome is immaculate and on par with even the most expensive makes of truck and far exceeds anything you'll find in, say, a Craftsman or other mid-range tool. The flexible head consists of a series of latches resting against a ball compressed by a spring in the handle. This keeps the head from loosening or loosening and gives it enough resistance. Overall, I would definitely buy this ratchet again. It's advertised as the smallest 3/8" ratchet on the market and I believe he owns both that and the rigid version. The fact that it's made in the USA and is such a high quality industrial tool is an added bonus Bonus This item should last a lifetime and be the last mini 3/8 ratchet you will ever need I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for one you will not be disappointed!
