It just works and I use it in a truck with waterproof connections. I have a PAC TR7 that is used for triggering (TR7 is programmed to function 15, out of 3 in 5 seconds, which creates a 1 second output pulse to the relay). So in the cab of the truck I flip the switch 3 times in 5 seconds and TR7 sees that as its input and TR7 sends one. the second pulse to this relay. I did this because the TR7 doesn't provide the power needed to operate the large trunk lock, but the addition of this relay provides a nice strong 12 volt current for the trunk lock and its latches.
