This kit was very easy to install but is pretty standard for air intakes across the board. I've always avoided K&Ns as they were very expensive, but they are actually one of the cheapest options for this truck model. Still not sure why the chrome pipe and air filter cost so much, but again standard across the board. BTW, there's no noticeable increase in horsepower or MPG, but I don't drive my truck a ton either. The turbo whistle is about the same even without the resonator, but the intake itself makes a pretty solid sound when you step on the gas. You can actually hear him sucking in more air. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and haven't had any problems so far. PS: Mine shipped in a box with large, glowing K&N logos, so beware of pirates on the porch if you have nosy neighbors or live near the street. .
