push button are suitable for normal prototyping board without soldering. However, the pins are flimsy and easily bend when inserted into holes on the breadboard. Take your time and try a different set of holes if you're having difficulty. Some breadboards vary in hole density. Once placed on the breadboard the switches work fine, I've had no problems with them. The keys definitely feel comfortable.
