The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

Overall a good lens. It captivates with its low weight and size, combined with good image quality - the lens just does what it's supposed to. The picture is sharp, with the right colors. The bokeh is not very interesting, but quite noble, just a delicate blurring of the blur zone. However, the lens is not without compromises - for example, to turn off autofocus you need to go to the camera menu - this is not convenient. The trunk leaves and does not look completely reliable, the plastic of the case is not as good as on more top-end optics. nevertheless, it is felt that they saved a little on the lens. The main drawback, probably, is that it does not like complex light, especially side light. It is treated by buying a hood - unfortunately, it is needed here. For this, the nuances of constructive and ergonomics dropped a point from the assessment. In general, I got what I wanted. The lens works fine, gives a normal picture, pleases with sharpness and fast autofocus, weighs little and fits in a pocket. For walks and travel - what you need. Perhaps I recommend it.

Pros
  • High sharpness. Correct color rendering. Fast, smooth and accurate autofocus. Small weight and size. Metal mount and good build quality. Good design.
Cons
  • Combining the focus ring with the control one, the inability to turn on manual focus on the body. It easily catches flare and generally does not hold side and back light well. Trunk.

Pros below: Compact and sharp. Beautiful bokeh. With its cons. Small cover. On an open aperture, it is a little soft, but not critical. Super sharp with 2.2

After EF 50mm 1.8 stm - focuses noticeably faster and more accurately. I didn't notice much of a difference in the picture. After EF 50mm 1.4 usm - definitely RF

Has pros: I use with Canon R. Compact. The camera with him looks like an "amateur". Doesn't draw too much attention. Some cons: At 1.8, the edges are not sharp. At 2.8, etc. better. In general, 4 ku.

Pros: Small, beautifully draws a picture, aperture, cheap Has cons: Autofocus does not always work quickly, especially in a backlight. And in a firelight, the illumination is not always beautiful. No hood included
