Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

I have been waiting for this lens since the official announcement on November 5th. I have a Canon RF 50mm f/1.2, but it weighs 700g and is very long, which is very annoying when traveling. The new fifty dollars is what I needed! Now I will have a Canon EOS RP + RF 35mm / 1.8 + RF 50mm / 1.8 in my backpack when traveling and this will cover 90% of my interests, the remaining 10% will be covered by the new light and compact Canon RF 70-200mm f / 4, I am waiting for the announcement of the…

Pros
  • - Very compact and lightweight - Steel bayonet - Fits perfectly on the Canon EOS RP - the most compact FF travel option - Minimal vignetting, in general, the sharpness and colors of the photograph are at a very good level, when comparing two shots taken at 50 / 1.8 and 50 / 1.2 at aperture 1.8 blindly, it is impossible to distinguish.
Cons
  • - Made in Malaysia, the plastic is tactilely different from the RF 35mm / 1.8, the seams of the plastic soldering on the body are visible (it is not clear why it was impossible to cast in a single piece, there is no such thing on the RF 35mm) - The control ring was combined with focus control, or the selected setting, because of which steps were sacrificed when scrolling the ring, which is inconvenient when choosing ISO or aperture - I want fixed steps like on other RF lenses. - There is no AF / MF switch, which means that in order to switch to manual mode, you need to climb into the camera menu and turn it on there.

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

on my smallest camera, the RP is like a staff member, replacing the more bulky 35 / 1.8 they tightened it up in all respects, plus, without an adapter, it is almost twice as compact. Pros below: Sharp in the center on the open, at 5.6 already flawless from edge to edge, you won’ light weight Has a control ring Small MDF Better than the EF version in terms of the nature of the blur, the blur zone has become softer Cons: On open vignetting Traveling trunk, which is also quite noisy Price in compa

Good product, more pros than cons.

Some pros: I use with Canon R. Compact. The camera with him looks like an "amateur". Doesn't draw too much attention. Got cons: At 1.8, the edges are not sharp. At 2.8, etc. better. In general, 4 ku.

I like it, thank you for the quality product.

I won't lie - there are no miracles for 19k! BUT! Glass is good. I would even say great! Yes, on the side and back I catch a strong drop in contrast. You need to get used to and adapt! I ordered a lens hood on alik, I think it will help from the side. Even taking into account the minuses, if I chose glass again, I would not hesitate and would choose it again! Kenon, 3k for the original lens hood!?!?))) Photos taken on it in conjunction with eos. . I bought a hood on alik. Fabulous. From the…

Pros
  • 1. Normal sharpness with micro contrast 2. Autofocus speed and accuracy 3. Norm price 4. Weight
Cons
  • 1. Doesn't do well with back and side light 2. The lens hood costs 3k! 3. Dumb outwardly

The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

Overall a good lens. It captivates with its low weight and size, combined with good image quality - the lens just does what it's supposed to. The picture is sharp, with the right colors. The bokeh is not very interesting, but quite noble, just a delicate blurring of the blur zone. However, the lens is not without compromises - for example, to turn off autofocus you need to go to the camera menu - this is not convenient. The trunk leaves and does not look completely reliable, the plastic of the…

Pros
  • High sharpness. Correct color rendering. Fast, smooth and accurate autofocus. Small weight and size. Metal mount and good build quality. Good design.
Cons
  • Combining the focus ring with the control one, the inability to turn on manual focus on the body. It easily catches flare and generally does not hold side and back light well. Trunk.

Everything would be fine and it would be an excellent lens with all the pros and cons, but when I compared the maximum resolution I was horrified. It is at the level of budget manual lenses with m42 thread. Those. you will not get crisp, ringing landscape sharpness at clamped apertures. Purely optically - it is a piece of cheap plastic. Ef colleague in maximum resolution is 2 heads higher, although contrast and vignetting are worse there, but these things can be fixed in the editor. Its matrix…

Pros
  • -Dimensions -The weight -Price considering that this is an RF mount -Nimble STM motor -Pretty good contrast compared to EF brother 50 1.8 - Resolution in the corners on the open
Cons
  • -VERY low maximum resolution on holes 5.6-11 - Price compared to EF brother, less plastic and glass, and the price is significantly higher.

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

Not so long ago I bought Rku. I had 50 1.4, it jammed in translation and missed the focus. Decided to sell it and take the 2022. It feels the same as the 50 1.8, a little flimsy. But it works very quickly, I like the quality of the photos, the backlight holds well, the bokeh is not bad. If you want as a staffer for a mirrorless camera, I think it's a great option. But 50 1.8 stm also has a good reputation, if you are not ready to overpay, you can take it.

Pros
  • Size, additional functions on the ring, focus,
Cons
  • Price . bought and appeared cheaper . lack of dust and moisture protection
