Now I know what "micro-grain carbide " is!

Micro-grain should match the thickness of the carbide coating on the cutting edge. tear off pieces. At first I thought it was the grain of the wood so I flipped the shank to route the other way and the pull out was even worse. So I stopped, ordered a Freud bit (next day delivery! yes, Revain) and it worked great on all 60ft of stock. No burn marks, no abrasions. I even reworked the torn piece and it improved the finish. Lesson: Don't buy beats from China. Stick with real carbide. I gave this an extra star because the smallest router bit worked well enough to quickly chip the edge off some pieces of plywood.
