The first genius failed and the company sent me a Heavy Duty Marine version free of charge to compensate for any inconvenience. About 4 years later we had a thunderstorm. We never suffer from them, but this storm has affected us greatly. No direct hits, but one burst of energy killed 6 power supplies, a router, a switch, almost every built-in fuse, a garage door opener, and my good marine-grade NOCO charger. I have my lawn equipment and our emergency power solutions ready. This new generation 10 4-port alternator works with lead-acid, lithium and AGM batteries. If you have any faults in your circuit, NOCO will not switch to charge mode. However, there weren't any issues with cable continuity that affected the charger. As long as there are no open bugs in it, it will analyze and charge your batteries. It charges my 12 volt lawn and garden batteries while they are installed. I have two separate AGM batteries on the shelf and that keeps them going. "Repair functions" I have not tried. A while.
