I was skeptical at first but this dog seat buckle is amazing. When I first opened the package it seemed short to me, but I decided to try it first. I was shocked that my dog had enough time to stick his head out of both the back windows. Before I had that seat belt, it was hard to get her anywhere. She's a 60-pound Boxer-Boxer mix, but she thinks she's a lap dog. It's much safer to drive while chained to the back seat. When driving, I think I rolled the windows down too far. She hung her paws out the window in front of the car. I'm not sure if she jumped or slipped, but the next moment I know she jumped out the window. Luckily we weren't driving fast and the seat belt held her back. I jumped out of the car and threw it out the window again. She wasn't hurt at all. I shortened the seat belt a bit and now I don't roll the windows up as much. The leash kept her from hitting the ground and injuring herself. This is definitely best used with a harness but if you don't have one you need to order one now.
