I bought 3 of these for my kitchen a year and a half ago - for jobs in front of the sink, stove and countertop where I stand a lot. They make standing for long periods of time more pleasant and also protect my parquet floors. A few weeks ago one of my dogs died from osteochondrosis. He has difficulty getting up and also occasionally suffers from urinary incontinence. I bought another one of those rugs to indicate where to enter and exit the house and where to eat and drink, and thank God I did. Not only does it protect the floor for easy cleaning, it also gives my dog a stable, non-slip surface to walk on and makes it easier for him to get up off the floor. He looks for mats to walk between rooms because they don't move (at least on hardwood). Also, the original rugs I bought over a year ago still look brand new, even after being repeatedly hit with dog claws, then vacuuming and a steam mop. For the price, the quality can't be beat. From now on they are my favourites.
