Both ends are badly sized.
Bad size. I also bought a piece of pipe. Both ends of the muffler were too small to accommodate the raw end of the pipe and too large to attach to the upset end of the pipe. One end was also dented. However, the packaging was undamaged. This was a return and was not allowed to be resold at any price. Luckily I have a channel expander, so getting it to work for my application is not a problem for me.
